No dowel to thread your spools onto! Your ribbon rests on the shelf, and blocks are included to prevent the spools from tipping over. The blocks are magnetic and attach to a metal strip located on the inside surface of the front of the shelf, so you can put them wherever you want! A major benefit of this design feature is that you can use a magnet to display cards right on the front of the shelf!
Also, a small display shelf is included with each ribbon holder so you can display a card or other creation. One shelf is included with the 24″ and 48″ designs. Two shelves are included with the 72″ design.
